If America runs on dunkin, then Athens runs on frappe's and cigarettes. Just the other morning we were sipping coffee upon awakening while on phone with tery's cousin making plans for coffee date. I couldn't think of a better way to spend my afternoon in all honesty, soaking in the incredibly heavy grecian sun, which by the way is no joke at all. We had beach day yesterday practically soaked in sunscreen and our tans still cant touch this (dun nu nu nu). Today we were left to our own devices (tery had to work boo hoo) and we successfully ordered coffee (and cigarettes) IN GREEK. Rode the subway to city center to exchange the loves USD's....sadly we were reminded of how useless they are comparatively. So the shock lit yet another fire under our asses...job searching underway in the next few weeks. We went for a walk in the gardens (athens version of central park, complete with peacock and goat zoo...horrific) but the park is gorgeous and smells like heaven. This is where Danica Melissa greek school took place today ;) before long we wont even know english heehee. Its dinner time now (thankyou tery) we will post pics and catch up soon XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOX- your lovergirls

The eagle has landed..
testing one two three..... i have absolutely no idea if this is going to work, as everything on this page is in greek and danica and i have been left to our own devices until later on when we rendevouz with tery. So far so good, we got in yesterday after a veeerrrryyyyy long commute fully equipped with stupid checkin lady in slc who didn't love the fact that we had a one way ticket... wendy if you're out there,....we are out for YOU....making us buy a ticket to spain on spot for two months out,....maybe we'll use it ;) ANYWAY its amazing here in athens like a little greek fairytale. Tery Lemanis is one of the best people we know, giving us bed, really?? He took us to dinner where his cousin works and ate delicious spicey cheese, garlicky eggplant, lots of olive oil and tasty octopus and dont forget the grape leaves,...or the wine for that matter. Afterward we went on a midnight excursion through the winding streets of the city center to the base of the acropolis. Also, drivers in greece...worse than nyc taxi, thats all i'm gonna say. jetlagged, sleep deprived, and fully satisfied, we were off to bed. We promise to be better writters with pictures to come once we figure out exactly what is going on here, so stay tuned!!! xoxo- your lover girls
